Controlling the controllers

Another area where IdeasAnvil limited have developed some unique solutions is the control of multimedia systems. Just about every public venue now has a multimedia system of some description. The simplest may just be a few televisions with a Sky, cable or Freeview receiver. More complex installations may include a sound processor and amplifiers, a video switch of some description and multiple video sources - DVD, PC or a dedicated mpeg video server on top of those listed above. Larger venues will incorporate lighting controllers, complex sound systems and integration with alarm systems and monitoring systems.

We have developed a number of PC based control interfaces for simplifying the control of these type of systems. Venues have included health clubs and gyms, cinema multiplexes and retail outlets. Usually the problem with these media systems is that the staff at the venue cannot control the system easily - the features and functionality come at a price -loss of ease of use. Our systems have made controlling the multimedia easy for the users.

Also, we have with some installations developed remote management facilities which allow managers and support staff to control the systems when away from the site.
